Today is National deworming Day. Health Minister J P Nadda said, by taking tablets for deworming, the children can be prevented from many diseases. He said, worm-free children are healthy children and the tablets are being made available free of cost in anganwadis and schools. <br/><br/>The minister also urged parents, teachers and all stakeholders to make it a success and ensure that all children are dewormed. The goal of National Deworming Day is to deworm all children between 1 to 19 years at schools and anganwadi centres in order to improve their overall health, nutritional status, cognitive development and quality of life.
