An Indian National Defence College delegation consisting of spouses of the officers today visited headquarters of the General Women's Union (GWU) in Abu Dhabi.According to UAE’s official Emirates news agency, the visit was aimed at recognising the different aspects of Emirati women work and activities and programs of GWU and its role in the development of the Emirati women skills. The delegation was briefed on the achievements of the Union since its establishment in 1975. The delegation expressed its admiration for the UAE heritage and the prominent role played by GWU in the development processes and the preparation of UAE women to assume their social and cultural responsibilities.
