National Consumer Helpline records 10,325 telephonic calls in Sep

The National Consumer Helpline has received 10,325 telephonic calls about consumer-related issues during the last month. It also received 1,344 complaints through the online complaint system. A maximum of 2712 calls were received from Delhi followed by Uttar Pradesh (1623), Maharashtra (1189) and Haryana (927). As per feedback received from 1,286 callers, 1,107 complaints were resolved under convergence with various companies. AIR correspondent reports that, consumers from across the country can access the toll free National Consumer Helpline number and seek telephonic counseling for their problems. The number is – 1800 11 400. The helpline also provides information, advice and guidance on consumer issues. Complaints can also be registered on the website- www.nationalconsumerhelpline.in.
