The National Conference on Sustainable Agriculture and Farmers begun from today at Gangtok. Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Shri Radha Mohan Singh inaugurated the two day conference. Union Ministers of State for Agriculture Sanjeev kumar Balyan and Mohanbhai Kalyanbhai Kundariya, and Chief Minister of Sikkim Pawan Chamling were present on the occasion.<br/><br/>Agriculture Ministers and secretaries of different states, agriculture scientists and agriculture and horticulture experts will deliberate upon the challenges and identify initiatives to transform agriculture based on sustainable and efficient use of resources. Emphasis shall be on making agriculture a commercially attractive proposition for youth.<br/><br/>Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address valedictory session of the conference tomorrow at Gangtok.
