The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) today summoned the Uttar Pradesh's Principal Health Secretary on the death of children due to Japanese Encephalitis and Acute Encephalitis Syndrome in Gorakhpur district. Confirming the move the Chairperson of the NCPCR Shantha Sinha said that child body has asked the Principal Health Secretary to appear before a bench constituted by the NCPCR on 3rd of next month. The move comes after recent visit of NCPCR member, Yogesh Dube to the district. Mr. Dubey had expressed his dissatisfaction over UP government's action in dealing with Japanese Encephalitis and Acute Encephalitis Syndrome cases.
