National Bamboo Mission will help in augmenting income of farmers: Dharmendra Pradhan

Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas and Steel, Dharmendra Pradhan has said that the National Bamboo Mission will help in augmenting income of farmers, while contributing significantly to climate resilience. <br />''<br />''He said with 30% of the budget allocation earmarked for women, the amount will enhance income of small, marginal, women and tribal farmers by creating employment opportunities across the value chain.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The Union Minister revealed that the Centre has granted an amount of 6.77 crore rupees to Odisha during the last three years under the National Bamboo Mission. <br />''<br />''Expressing the hope that this will further energize the holistic development of bamboo ecosystem and support the bamboo industry of Odisha,Mr. Pradhan said that bamboo contributes substantially to ensuring ecological, economic and livelihood security for the people in the state, especially for tribals and forest dwellers.</span><br />
