Well known filmmaker Rituparno Ghosh has died. He was 49. One of the leading directors in Indian cinema, Rituparno Ghosh made some highly acclaimed films like Raincoat starring Aishwarya Rai, Chokher Bali, and The Last Lear. He won several national awards. Based on a famous Rabindranath Tagore story, Choker Bali starring Aishwarya Rai won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Bengali and was nominated for the Golden Leopard (Best Film) award at the Locarno International Film.
