The country wide bank strike affected transactions worth crore of rupees in Haryana, Chandigarh and Punjab.<br/><br/>The office bearers of All India Bank Employees Association and All India Bank Officers Association told media that with the merger of banks will harm the small banks and it will be difficult for them to exist in competition and in turn bank employees will loose their jobs.<br/><br/>They strongly condemned the merger of State Bank of Saurashtra with State Bank of India.
