Nation-wide bandh against petrol price hike evokes mixed response

The nation-wide bandh called by some opposition parties against the
recent petrol price hike has evoked mixed response.Markets are closed is some parts of the country. Some train services were affected as people sat on tracks to protest against the hike in petrol prices. Office goers faced difficulties as some roads were
blocked by protesters in Delhi.
In Gujarat, most of the main markets are closed in all major cities
of state including Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat and Rajkot however
vehicular traffic is running normally. In Rajasthan, City bus service
of roadways and rail services are normal.
In West Bengal, States government has taken precautions to contain the any untoward situation.In Jammu, all shops, markets and business establishments are closed today and inter city passenger traffic is off the roads but long
route buses are plying.
In Andhra Pradesh, public Transport bus services have been affected due to bandh in several towns while it evoked partial response in the
state capital Hyderabad.
