Nation to celebrate its 69th Independence Day tomorrow

The nation will celebrate its 69th Independence Day tomorrow. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will unfurl the national flag from the ramparts of Red Fort. AIR correspondent reports security has been tightened in the national capital, particularly around the Red Fort area, and elaborate ground-to-air security and traffic arrangements have been made. <br/><br/>A huge number of security personnel drawn from Delhi Police and paramilitary forces have been deployed to keep vigil to thwart any untoward incident. Additional manpower from CISF and Delhi Police have been deployed at important public installations like Delhi Metro and Indira Gandhi International Airport and public places like markets, railway stations, inter-state bus terminals and other establishments of strategic importance. <br/><br/>Over 500 CCTVs have been installed in and around the Red Fort to keep a close watch on the area. Delhi police has made elaborate traffic arrangements around Red Fort and requested general public not to touch any suspicious object and alert police immediately in case of suspicious movement of persons or vehicles. Check posts have been put up at borders to check anti social elements from entering the city.
