The nation remembers Father of Nation, Mahatma Gandhi on his 69th martyrdom Day. President Pranab Mukherjee, Vice-President Hamid Ansari, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid floral tributes to the Mahatma at Rajghat Saturday morning.<br/><br/>Union Ministers Manohar Parrikar, Venkaiah Naidu, Mahesh Sharma and the three service Chiefs among others laid wreaths at the memorial. <br/><br/>Earlier, in a series of tweets, the Prime Minister also paid tributes to those who sacrificed their lives for the nation on the occasion of Martyrs Day.<br/><br/>Later in the evening, a Bhajan Sandhya was organised at Gandhi Smriti on the occasion in New Delhi.<br/><br/>Bapu's favourite Bhajan 'Vaishnav Jan To Tene Kahiye' was also recited.<br/><br/>Vice President Mohd. Hamid Ansari, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other dignitaries were present.
