Nation is paying tributes to national martyr Udham Singh on his 71st martyrdom day today. He sacrificed his life on this day in Britain in 1940. Saheed Udham Singh avenged the massacre of Jalianawala Bagh of Amritsar in which thousands of Indians were massacred on April 13, 1919. In Punjab, a state level function is being organised at Sunam, the birth place of the martyr. Punjab Chief Minister, his cabinet colleagues and MPs of the state are participating in the function at Sunam today.
