Nation pays homage to veteran freedom fighter Jagjivan Ram on his 24th death anniversary today. An all religion prayer meeting was held at Samta Sthal in New Delhi where floral tributes were offered to the veteran leader. <br/><br/>The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh and the Lok Sabha Speaker Mrs. Meira Kumar were among the prominent people present on the occasion. His autobiography was released at a function in New Delhi yesterday. Among others, the Human Resource Development Minister, Mr. Kapil Sibal was present on the occasion. Several functions are being organised to mark the day across the country.
