Mumbai, which was shaken by the 26/11 terror attacks a year ago, came out in full force today to express their solidarity against terrorism. While the security forces took out a parade from Hotel trident to Girgaum Chowpatty to instill confidence in people, the newly acquired weapons of the police after the attacks were also kept on display. People also showed that had not forgiven or forgoten the attacks by lighting candles in the memory of martyrs and participating in various events organised by citizens forums and non-governmental organizations. Blood donation camps were also organised in the city to spread the message of humanity.<br/><br/>The BJP today urged the government to clear all backlog of compensation to the kin and victims of 26/11 attacks. Talking to reporters outside the Parliament, BJP spokesperson Mr Prakash Javdekar said that only 118 of the over 400 kins and victims have been given the compensation so far.<br/> <br/>Hundreds of people today donated blood at a blood donation camp organised at CST, Mumbai, where terrorists killed 58 people on this day last year. Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan was present at the camp. People gathered to pay their tributes to the victims of the terror attacks by offering flowers at a memorial in memory of those killed.Prayers were also held with porters, railway workers<br/>and others laying wreaths at the memorial.<br/><br/>CST was one of the first spots that Ajmal Kasab and his associate Abu Ismail attacked on 26/11. Prayers are also being held at Nariman House, where six people, including a Rabbi and his wife, were held hostage in a 45-hour siege and then killed by terrorists. Nariman House will be thrown open to the public this evening.<br/><br/>A blood donation camp has been organised in the Parliament complex as a mark of respect to the victims of Mumbai Carnage. The camp was inaugurated by the Lok Sabha speaker Mrs Meira Kumar. So far Minister of State for Planning Mr V Narayansamy and some members of Parliament besides several Members of Parliament staff have donated blood. The camp will be open till 4 PM.<br/>
