Nation pays homage to former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on his birth anniversary today. <br/><br/>President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Senior BJP leader L K Advani and other dignitaries visited Vijay Ghat, the Samadhi of Lal Bahadur Shastri to offer tributes. <br/><br/>A number of functions will be organised to mark the occasion. <br/><br/>Lal Bahadur Shastri led the country during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1965 and gave the slogan – Jai Jawan Jai Kisan which is remembered even today.
