The President , the Vice President and the Prime Minister today led the nation in paying homage to the Father of the Nation, on his 62nd death anniversary by laying wreaths at the Samadhi of the Mahatma at Rajghat. A Sarva Dharma Prarthana Sabha was also organised at the Bapu's Samadhi. UPA Chairperson Mrs Sonia Gandhi and the leader of the Opposition Mrs Sushma Swaraj were among other dignatories who paid floral tributes to Mahatama Gandhi. A two minute silence was also observed as a mark of respect for the father of the nation .Several functions are being organised throughout the country to mark the occasion .<br/><br/>An anti leprosy fortnight and Leprosy seal camaign was also launched by the President Mrs Pratibha Devi Singh Patil in New Delhi.
