The nation is observing the birth centenary of Mother Teresa today. Mother was born on this day in 1910 at Macedonia. Several programmes have been organized through out the country to mark the occasion. A special prayer meeting was held at the headquarters of the Missionaries of Charity in Kolkata this morning to commemorate the day. Mother Teresa won Noble Peace Prize in 1979 and was given varius prestigious awards for her outstanding contribution to serve poorest of the poor. The Railway Minster Miss Mamata Banerjee will open an exhibition train 'Mother Express' at Sealdah station in Kolkata this afternoon.
