President Pranab Mukherjee has said that the nation has to commit itself to the goal of poverty elimination. While inaugurating the centenary celebrations of the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) in Bengaluru today he said the focus of make in India, Skilling India and Digital India are geared to achieve that object. <br/><br/>He said that Karnataka is one of the leading states of driving India's economy as it contributes six per cent of India's GDP. The President said that India's economic performance has been impressive at an average of 7.8 per cent growth rate during the last ten years and our economy has been resilient to the global financial meltdown of 2008. He said the nation has comfortable foreign exchange reserves to meet the next set of challenges from global economic developments.
