In Bihar, the Chhath Mahaparva is being celebrated with religious fervors and gaiety. On the banks of rivers, ponds and water reservoirs, lakhs of devotees will pay obeisance to the setting sun this evening and rising sun tomorrow morning. <br/>During Chhath Puja, worshippers practice fasting for 36 hours without taking food and water. AIR Patna correspondent reports that’s the whole atmosphere is reverbating with devotional folk songs. Roads and Ghats have been tastefully decorated with flowers and lights of different colours. <br/>Chhath is considered a means to thank the Sun God for bestowing the bounties of life on the earth and prosperity. <br/>
