Id-ul-Zuha will be celebrated on Monday. President, Vice-President, Prime Minister and UPA Chairperson have greeted the nation on the eve of Id-ul-Zuha.

In her message, President Pratibha Devisingh Patil said the festival strengthen the foundations of the national unity and harmony and inspire the people to work for the well-being of human beings.

Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari in his message said this festival highlights the virtues of sacrifice and inspires for inculcating the spirit of compassion and love towards the downtrodden. Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh said that Id Ul Zuha celebrates the spirit of giving and sacrifice.

Congress President Sonia Gandhi in her message said the festival symbolises great sacrifices of Prophet Ibrahim. She said the festival rekindles our faith on the ideals of peace and service of humanity.
