Children’s day is being celebrated throughout the country today. The day is observed to mark the birth anniversary of the first Prime Minister of India Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru.<br/>The nation is paying homage to Pandit Nehru on his 120th birth anniversary. Several functions are being organized throughout the country to mark the occasion. At Shanti Van, the Samadhi of Pandit Nehru in New Delhi, national leaders paid floral tributes to the marker of modern India. All religion prayer meetings were also organised there.<br/>
