The American space agency, NASA, has unveiled its design for a huge rocket to carry astronauts to the moon, the planet Mars and beyond. It should be able to carry one hundred tonnes of payload, much more than the now retired space shuttles could manage. This would make it the most powerful American launch since Saturn Five used for Apollo lunar missions. The first flight is due to take place in six years' time.
