Narendra Singh Tomar reviews working of his ministry's schemes in Chhattisgarh

Union Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Narendra Singh Tomar today reviewed the working of his ministry's schemes in Chhattisgarh, along with Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh. On his day long visit to Naya Raipur, Mr Tomar also inaugurated the new building of Rural Communication Training and Research Centre. <br/><br/>The union minister also launched the video conferencing facility for all the 146 blocks of Chhattisgarh and inaugurated the rural roads network management unit in the Chhattisgarh capital. He also distributed the micro -ATM cards to members of self help groups and interacted with sarpanchs and gram panchayat members on diverse topics including the 'Hamar Chhattisgarh' scheme. The state government's novel scheme which exposes people's representatives in villages to the developments in urban areas has recently reached the figure of 1 lac trainees.<br/><br/>On the occasion, Mr Tomar praised Dr Raman Singh and his team for the development initiatives being undertaken in Chhattisgarh in various spheres including road connectivity, Swachh Bharat, education, health and agriculture among others.
