BJP leader Narendra Modi will call on President Pranab Mukherjee at 3:15 in the afternoon to stake claim for the formation of a new government.

This will be preceded by his election as leader of the BJP Parliamentary Party and NDA. The meeting of the Parliamentary Party is to begin in a shortwhile from now at the Central Hall of Parliament.

In the meeting to be attended by all newly elected Lok Sabha MPs of the party, senior leader L K Advani will propose Modi's name for leader.

After his election by the party MPs, he will be elected leader of NDA at a meeting at the same venue. At 2.30 pm, a 15-member NDA delegation is scheduled to meet President Pranab Mukherjee
