Narendra Modi today hit back at Farooq Abdullah for his remark that those voting for the BJP Prime Ministerial candidate should drown in sea. Modi said the biggest blow to secularism in India was delivered in Kashmir from where Kashmiri Pandits were forced out due to their religion. Using a video message released by the CM's office in Ahmedabad, Modi held Abdullah family responsible for communalising the politics in Jammu & Kashmir.
In Delhi, BJP spokesperson Nirmala Sitharaman asked as to why the National Conference, of which Farooq Abdullah is
president, has not worked to make the Constitutional Amendment made during Emergency making India a secular republic, part of the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir till today.
