Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said partnership between India and Canada is blessed with enormous potential for mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation across a wide range of areas. He said, it can also help shape a more peaceful, prosperous and sustainable world. <br/><br/>In his letter written to Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada Justin Trudeau, on winning the General Elections, Mr Modi said, Canada has emerged as an important and reliable partner in India's socio-economic transformation and relations between the two countries have made remarkable progress in recent years. He said, bilateral relations were elevated to the level of strategic partnership during his visit in April this year. <br/><br/>The Prime Minister said, he is looking forward to working closely with Mr Trudeau to further expand and deepen the relationship in the years to come. <br/> <br/>Congratulating Mr Trudeau for leading the Liberal Party to a victory in the general election, Mr Modi said, he has brought vision, youth and energy to the leadership, which will sustain and strengthen Canada's success at home and abroad. He said, Mr Trudeau's leadership will also be of great significance for the world at a time of many global challenges. <br/><br/>Mr Modi also recalled his meeting with Mr Trudeau during his visit to Canada saying he was struck by his desire to deepen the multi-faceted ties, anchored in a common framework of democracy, pluralism, rule of law and close people-to-people relations.
