Narendra Kumar Sinha, a 1980 batch IAS officer of Bihar cadre, on Friday assumed charge as the Information and Broadcasting Secretary. He will take charge in place of Ajay Mittal, who has been appointed as the Secretary, Department of Personnel and Training. Prior to this appointment, Mr Sinha was Secretary, Ministry of Culture. <br/><br/>During a career span of more than 35 years, Mr Sinha has held various field postings and has worked from grassroots to the higher levels of governance in both State and Central Governments. <br/>
