The Central Bureau of Investigation has charged Hindu Janajagruti Samiti member Virendrasing Tawde as a key accused in the murder of rationalist Narendra Dabholkar in 2013. CBI sources said the charge sheet was filed against Tawde under the sections of 120-B criminal conspiracy and 302 murder of IPC among other charges.<br/><br/>According to reports, an alleged follower of 'Sanatan Sanstha' activist Sarang Akolkar, and another person Vinay Pawar were also named in the charge sheet. The Bombay High Court in May 2014 handed over Dabholkar's case to the CBI. Dalbholkar, an anti-superstition crusader, was murdered in broad daylight on August 20, 2013. The agency arrested Tawde in June this year.
