The Minister of State in the Prime Ministers Office, Mr. V.Narayanasamy today reached Chennai on Tuesday morning to hold discussions with the State Chief Secretary Mr. Debendranath Sarangi on the issue of Koodankulam protest. Speaking to reporters at the airport Mr.Narayanasamy told that his team would meet the protestors and explain on the security measures at the Nuclear plant. He is also expected to meet the Chief Minister Ms.J.Jayalalithaa tomorrow and brief her on the developments after meeting the protestors at Koodankulam.
Tamilnadu Chief Minister Ms.Jayalalithaa had in a letter on Monday urged the Prime Minister to halt the work on the Koodankulam project and convince the people who are protesting against the project. She had explained the concerns and the fears of the people who are protesting as they were under apprehension in the wake of the related incidents in the nuclear projects elsewhere.
