Minister of state for Parliamentary Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi today accused the opposition of communalizing small incidents and said NDA government's only agenda is development and nothing else. <br/><br/>He was intervening in a Short Duration discussion in the Rajya Sabha on the situation out of the reported increase in the incidents of lynching and atrocities on minorities and dalits across the country. <br/><br/>Rebutting the opposition criticism that the BJP ruled states are not registering cases of mob lynching, Mr. Naqvi said communal amity and harmony is in country's culture. He said several state governments have taken action against the people committing atrocities against dalits and indulging in violence in the name of cow protection.<br/><br/>Initiating the discussion Leader of Opposition Ghulam Nabi Azad charged the government with failing to protect dalits and minorities. Citing previous incidents Mr. Azad hit at the Government saying that it has done nothing towards restoring harmony. <br/><br/>He also pointed fingers at BJP and its affiliates for instigating animosity and atrocities against dalits and minorities. He assured the treasury benches of opposition's support in maintaining the integrity of the country, if the government takes firm steps to curb the crime.
