Nano debuts in Nepal

In Nepal, the Tata Nano made its debut today with the launching of the car today though it Nepali Company distributor. Tata hopes to garner customers in Nepal, where there is an absence of an effective public transport and vehicles are expensive. Bookings in the first phase have begun to day and will be open for ten days. The introductory price of the Tata Nano is 7.98 lahks nepali rupees. Nepal is the second country after Sri Lanka where the car will be available internationally. Our Katmandu correspondent reports that, to mark the introduction of the car, two nano’s are on a country-wide rally ‘Nano Yatra Nepal ‘ from the first of this month.
