Nand Kumar Sai today took charge as National Commission for Scheduled Tribes Chairperson in Delhi. Speaking after assuming office, Mr Sai said, tribal culture is integral to diversity of India. He said, tribals need protection and opportunity and he will work towards that.<br/><br/>NCST investigates and monitors all matters related to safeguards provided for Scheduled Tribes under the constitution or under law or under any order of the Government. It also evaluates the working of the safeguards and proper their implementation.
