The Gujarat Government has decided to extend the term of Nanavati Commission probing the 2002 riot cases till June next year. The term of the commission consisting of Justice G T Nanavati and Justice Akshay Mehta was to end on 31st of this month. <br/><br/>AIR Ahmedabad Correspondent reports that this is the 12th extension for the commission. The extension is likely to be the last, as it is in the process of finalizing the report on the post-Godhara riots.<br/><br/>Nanavati Commission has submitted the first part of its report dealing with the Godhra train burning issue last year, in which it concluded that the incident was a ‘pre-planned conspiracy and not an accident’ and gave clean chit to Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and his ministers.<br/>
