Nalini made calls to Britain and Sri Lanka

Tamil Nadu Law Minister Mr. Duraimurugan has said analysis of the cell phone recovered from the prison cell of life convict, Nalini, undergoing sentence in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination has revealed that she had made a number of overseas calls besides calls within the state.<br/><br/>Replying to a special mention in the state assembly today, he said the phone was recovered during a routine check on the 20th of this month. The Minister said the analysis had revealed that SIM card activated in March last year and that calls were made to Britain and Srilanka.<br/><br/>Mr Durai Murugan said a case has been registered against Nalini for possessing a cell phone besides preventing a government servant from discharging his duties.<br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports that Tamil Nadu government had recently rejected Nalini’s plea for premature plea on the recommendation of the prison advisory board.
