Prominent taxonomists V. Jayachandran Nair and Ramakrishna have bagged the Environment Ministry's prestigious E K Janki Ammal award for plant and animal taxonomy. They will be honoured at a function in New Delhi to mark the World Environment Day tomorrow. The award carries a cash prize, medallion and a citation. Taxonomy is the science which helps in exploration, identification and description of living organisms.<br/>
