Naidu slams Congress for disrupting Lok Sabha amid Punjab terror attack

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu today criticised the Congress for disrupting the proceedings in the Lok Sabha at a time when there is a terror attack in Punjab. Talking to reporters outside parliament, Mr Naidu said, there should be no politics on national security. He appreciated other opposition parties who have joined the government in condemning the attack. Mr Naidu said, the entire nation should speak in one voice on the issues of terrorism.<br/> <br/>Mr Naidu said, there are so many important issues including farmers' problems to be discussed in the two houses, but Congress is not allowing Parliament to function. The Minister, without naming Rahul Gandhi said, Congress leader is doing padyatra on the famers' issue but his party is disrupting the proceedings in Parliament.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, senior Congress leader Mallikarujun Kharge said when the BJP was in opposition, it used to disrupt Parliament saying disruption of proceedings is also part of Parliamentary democracy. Accusing the BJP of adopting double standards, he said, now it is teaching lessons to the Congress.
