Information and Broadcasting Minister Venkaiah Naidu today rejected the demand by Congress that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should apologize for his remarks against former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh.<br/><br/>Talking to reporters outside Parliament, Mr. Naidu attacked Congress for disrupting the proceedings during Mr. Modi's speech in the Rajya Sabha yesterday. He said, instead, the opposition party should tender an unconditional apology for not respecting the Prime Minister and Parliament.<br/><br/>Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kuamr reminded Congress about the incident when Rahul Gandhi had rejected the Ordinance passed by the Manmohan Singh Government. Mr Kumar said the way Congress had treated Dr Singh in that incident at that time, should also be discussed.<br/><br/>Yesterday, while replying to a discussion on the Motion of Thanks on the President's address to the Joint sitting of Parliament, Mr Modi charged the former Prime Minister of being clean despite several cases of corruption during the UPA rule. Congress had objected to the remarks and staged a walkout.
