Naidu meets Bardhan

TDP Chief N Chandrababdu Naidu on Friday met CPI general secretary A B Bardhan in New Delhi to garner support in a bid to stop illegal mining operations in Andhra Pradesh. Mr Naidu on Thursday met the JD(S) Chief H D Deve Gowda and the JD (U) President Sharad Yadav seeking their support on the issue. Earlier, the TDP Chief said, he will not stop until the Congress government in Andhra Pradesh takes up appropriate steps against illegal mining in various parts of the state.<br/><br/>The Andhra Pradesh government had on Thursday suspended mining operations at six iron ore mines, including those owned by Karnataka Tourism Minister G Janardhana Reddy, in three villages of Anantapur district.<br/>
