Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu today launched the source segregation campaign at Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi. <br/><br/>Urban local bodies of Delhi, Gurugram, Faridabad, Noida and Ghaziabad will be covered in the campaign. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Naidu urged the people to dump wet waste in Green bins and dry waste in Blue bins. He said, people's participation is important for the success of this campaign. <br/><br/>The Minister said, a recent study revealed that improper solid waste management causes 15 diseases including Hepatitis, Cholera and Malaria. Mr Naidu said, 100 per cent door-to-door collection, transportation and processing of solid waste is targeted by October, 2019 under Swachh Bharat Mission. <br/><br/>Mr Naidu also said, there is need to imbibe swachh Bharat as part of ones life and awareness should be created in schools and colleges.
