With more and more personnel from the police department contracting the viral infection, a dedicated COVID-19 hospital has been started for them in Nagpur. Around 10 per cent of police personnel from Nagpur have contracted the virus and 14 of them have succumbed to the infection.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''The dedicated Covid-19 hospital for police personnel is equipped with ICU and other necessary equipments. Nagpur police commissioner Amitesh Kumar said that the hospital will boost the morale of the police force as it will provide them good treatment.&nbsp; Meanwhile, according to an official, six more policemen from the Maharashtra Police force have succumbed to Covid-19 between 19th and 21st of this month, taking the toll to 223.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''The latest information shared by the police stated 159 policemen contracted the virus in the past 24 hours, taking the state police's case tally to 21,311. Of these, 3,655 are active cases. The state police force reported the maximum Covid fatality in September at 66, taking the toll to 223. In August 54 police personnel lost their lives, in July 43, in June 33, in May 23 and in April three cops succumbed to the disease.<br />
