Nagpur Cricket Test : India Reach 312/2 at stumps on Day 2

India is in commanding position and looking for a straight win against Sri Lanka in the Nagpur Cricket Test. The team scored 312 runs losing only 2 wickets in their first innings at stumps on the second day of the match on Saturday. Cheteshwar Pujara on 121 and Skipper Virat Kohli at 54 were at the crease. Overnight batsman Murali Vijay got out at 128. This was Vijay's 10th, and Pujara's 14th Test century.India now lead by 107 runs with 8 wickets remaining. The visitors were bundled out for 205 in their first innings. 301 runs were scored while losing only one wicket in Saturday's quota of 90 overs.Murli Vijay and Cheteshwar Pujara on Saturday entered the select group of 5 pairs who have scored four successive centuries in Tests. They shared five century stands in their last seven Tests. The two have ten century stands between them in Home Tests. This is the second Test of the three-match series. The first Test at Kolkata had ended in a draw.
