Former Union Minister Nagmani and Janata Dal ( United ) MLA Suchitra Singh today formally joined the congress Party. Ms Singh was a minister in the Nitish Kumar-led NDA government in the state. These leaders joined the congress in presence of AICC general secretary and in-charge of the party’s Bihar affairs Mukul Wasnik and state party Chief Mehboob Ali Qaiser at afunction which was held in Patna. Mr. Qaiser said the two leaders decided to join the Congress after party president Sonia Gandhi gave her approval to their entry into the party following the recommendation of the party's state unit.
