Dzukou Valley, one of the scenic landmark of Nagaland, situated about 30 kilometres from the State capital is in threat for the last five days due to forest fire. All out efforts are on to save the Dzukou valley having huge forest cover, including rare flora and fauna. <br/><br/>The district forest officer, Temjenyabang told AIR that Commissioner and Secretary for Forest and Environment I Kire and other senior officials took an aerial survey of the burning valley this morning. He said the fire intensity is decreasing but it will take at least two days to contain the fire. Over 300 volunteers from state administration, home guard disaster management and local youth are engaged at the site to fight the forest fire.
