Nagaland partners with Madhya Pradesh under 'Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat'

Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat' programme has brought in the states of Nagaland and Madhya Pradesh as one to celebrate the spirit of national integration through a deep and structured engagement between the two states. The Directorate of Higher Education of Government of Nagaland as the nodal department of 'Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat' has conducted various activities undertaken in partnership with Madhya Pradesh.<br />''                                          <br />'' Prime Minister Narendra Modi's idea of a sustained and structured cultural connection between citizens of different regions of the country through 'Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat' has seen a positive impact between the state of Nagaland and Madhya Pradesh.  <br />'' With Madhya Pradesh as a partner state, Nagaland under this programme has the endeavour of sharing and learning knowledge of culture through various activities undertaken by the nodal department the State directorate of Higher Education along with Art & Culture, Tourism, Industries and Commerce.<br />'' <br />'' Miss Vetanule Demo, Officer on Special Duty (Administration & MHRD), also the Liaison officer for 'Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat', Directorate of Higher Education shared on the various activities, with the MoU signed between the two states, a team of Government officials of Madhya Pradesh visited Nagaland from 8th  to 10th November 2017 during which a joint consultative meeting was held with Nagaland officials and deliberated on the proposed Action Plan and finalization for joint implementation. In conformity with the Action Plan agreed upon by the partner states, a series of activities were taken up by various departments of the Government of Nagaland from 2017 to March 2019. Subsequently, a wide range of mutual engagements was organized and conducted by the following departments. <br />'' <br />'' Department of Art and Culture, Government of Nagaland organized Exchange of Cultural troupes- Madhya Pradesh cultural troupes participated in the Hornbill Festival from 1st to 10th December this year and Nagaland cultural Troupe participated in the Lokrang Festival held at Bhopal from 26th to 30th January last year.  Department of Higher & Technical Education, GoN organized Teachers/Students Exchange Programmes -Nagaland team's visit to Madhya Pradesh from 8th-13th February and Madhya Pradesh team's visit to Nagaland from 16th to 20th March last year. Also organized College Teachers Exposure-cum- Awareness Trip to Madhya Pradesh from 23rd to 27th February. Directorate of Technical Education organized Polytechnic Students Educational Tour to Madhya Pradesh from 22nd February to 3rd March this year. <br />'' <br />'' 'Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat' has enabled the celebration of Unity in Diversity and have promoted the spirit of National Integration in showcasing the richness of traditional heritage and culture and most pertinently created a long term engagement between the two states.<br />
