Nagaland: Over 13.06 lakh voters to cast their vote to decide fate of 183 candidates in 59 assembly constituencies

<span style="color: #222222;">In Nagaland, over 13. 06 lakh voters  will cast their vote to decide the fate of the 183 candidates in 59 Assembly constituencies on 17th of this month.  Of the total, there are 6790 PwD electors and 7982 are service voters.<br />'' <br />'' With one seat already declared uncontested, the contest will now take place for 59 constituencies. Tening in Peren district, Sanis in Wokha and Tehok in Mon district have the highest number of candidates with six each.<br />'' <br />'' Of the 183 candidates, this time, four women aspirants who have joined the wagon to fight for the polls are Hekani Jakhalu of NDPP from Dimapur 3 seat, Rosy Thompson of Congress for Tening Assembly Constituency, Salhoutuonuo Kruse of NDPP for Western Angami Assembly Constituency and Kahuli Sema of BJP for Athoizu seat.  While 19 are independent candidates.<br />'' <br />''NDPP leader and four time Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio who have won two elections uncontested in 1998 and 2018 for the 11 Northern Angami 2  assembly constituency will have a straight fight against Congress candidate Seyievilie Sachu.  <br />'' <br />'' BJP leader and Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton,  T R Zeliang of NDPP and Kuzholuzo Azo Nienu of NPF are also some the prominent leaders who will have to retain their seats.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' With election fever picking its momentum, and to maintain the law and order situation during the election,  305 CAPF companies have been deployed for the state, of which 75 CAPF companies are already deployed while the remaining will be arriving to the State after the completion of Tripura state election. Besides, communities like the NGOs, churches as well as the district administration have come forward in propagating clean election.<br />'' <br />''The 13.06 lakh voters will cast their votes in 2315 polling stations on February 27 while the counting will take place on March 2.</span><br />
