The Court of Inquiry constituted by the Indian Army to investigate the Mon incident of December 4 visited the site at Oting Village today.<br />'' <br />'' According to a release from Public Relations Officer (Defence) in Kohima,  Lt. Col. Sumit Sharma, the inquiry team, headed by a senior rank officer, a Major General, inspected the site to understand the circumstances in which the incident could have happened. The team also took along the witnesses for a better understanding of the situation and how events have unfolded.  <br />'' <br />'' Subsequently, the team was also present at Tizit Police Station, Mon to meet the cross-section of the society to including civilians, police personnel, and doctors who treated the injured for obtaining valuable information pertaining to the incident.<br />'' <br />'' As per the Indian Army, the Court of Inquiry is progressing expeditiously and all efforts are being made to conclude it at the earliest.<br />'' <br />'' Earlier, the Indian Army had requested twice through public notices regarding any person having information on the incident to directly share it via SMS or WhatsApp or either by being present before the Inquiry Team at Tizit Police Station. The information was also asked to share in person with the Inquiry team at Dinjan Military Station in Assam.  <br />''<br />''Meanwhile, Nagaland Government has constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the incident in which 13 civilians lost their lives.
