Nagaland joined the rest of the country in celebrating the 100th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Mann Ki Baat programme today.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''A special screening of the programme was organised at Raj Bhavan Kohima. Secretary to Governor Rajesh Soundararajan read out the message of Governor La Ganesan.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''The Governor said, Prime Minister's Mann Ki Baat programme which had its humble beginning as a radio talk show, has today grown in popularity and is now broadcast from various media platforms in multiple languages.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''He said, PM Modi's people-centric approach to development and his continuous effort to connect with the common man led to this programme.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''The Governor said, the essence and conduct of the programme reflects the cultural ethos and heritage of the country, and therefore it resonates well with the general public.&nbsp; He asserted that the Mann Ki Baat programme reaches out to a wide spectrum of socially, economically and culturally diverse people, inspiring them to think about various current issues facing India and the world.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''He said, the programme has also highlighted inspiring stories of change makers even from the remote corners of India working relentlessly and selflessly who otherwise are usually missed out by the mainstream media.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''The Governor also made a mention of Lidi Kro-u who found its pride of place in one of the episodes of the programme, besides, a NCC cadet from Nagaland getting an opportunity to directly interact with the Prime Minister.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''With the Mann ki Baat programme, Governor Ganesan said, the Prime Minister has successfully established a mechanism to take welfare schemes and policies to the people and generate awareness about the same.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''The programme is also found to be a very effective tool for social movements, the Governor added.<br />
