<span style="color: #222222;">Nagaland government has set up a high-level powered Committee to look into the restructuring and re-organisation of Nagaland Police. Headed by DGP Nagaland Rupin Sharma along with eight other members, the Committee will review the existing structure and functioning of the Police Department in totality and suggest reorganisation in the larger Public interest and better security. <br />''<br />''The committee will look upon the restructuring and reorganisation, recruitment and training of Nagaland Police to improve functional efficiency and effectiveness, proposed allocation or re-allocation of manpower at various levels in Nagaland police, proposed allocation or re-allocation of resources/ logistics, proposed allocation or redistribution of posts in geographical basic in Nagaland police, to improve coordination of State police with other central and state law enforcement and security agencies towards national objectives, examine, analyse and recommend areas of reducing / economizing costs and examine best practices of policing in the rest of ten countries that can be adopted or applied in the situation of Nagaland with modifications.<br />''<br />''The Committee can co-opt other members for assisting it as deemed fit and will endeavour to submit a report in 60 days from the date of notification issued on the 27th of April.</span><br />
