<span style="color: #222222;">Nagaland government on Friday held a consultative meeting with all the Tribal Hohos and civil organisations to deliberate on proper modalities and systems to achieve the objective of the Register of Indigenous Inhabitants of Nagaland, RIIN. Held at State Banquet Hall Chief Minister's Residential complex in Kohima, the meeting was attended by representatives from 21 apex tribal Hohos and organisations. </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Briefing media persons after the consultative meet, Government Spokesperson and Advisor Mmhonlumo Kikon termed the meeting as positive. He said the major outcome of the meeting was the formation of Joint Consultative Committee at state level headed by Home Commissioner Nagaland Abhijit Sinha including Commissioner Nagaland as Member secretary and members of the Central Nagaland Tribes Council, Eastern Nagaland People's Organisation  and Tenyimia People's Organisation.  He said it was also decided to co-opt new members in the committee like the Garo Tribal Council, Kuki Inpi and others. At the district level, Deputy Commissioners will head the committee. Kikon said government will soon issue a notification in this regard.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Minister Planning and Coordination & Land Revenue Neiba Kronu also informed that Banuo Z Committee's report will be given to all the tribal leaders for them to study and be deliberated upon. </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Nagaland government in a notification issued in June 2019 for carrying out an exercise on RIIN to streamline the system of issue of Indigenous Inhabitant Certificates and also to maintain a record of such indigenous inhabitants. It said that RIIN is required to prevent issuance of indigenous inhabitant certificates to ineligible persons.</span><br />''  <br />
