Nagaland government has decided to stop all collection of any kind of tax or fees on items or goods that comes under GST regime by all the Municipals and Town Councils across the State immediately. This was decided yesterday during a meeting held under the Chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton. The decision also came in after the Confederation of Nagaland Chamber of Commerce &amp; Industry has called for a total shutdown of all the shops and business establishments in the state on 16th of September in protests against multiple taxations by Naga Political groups and government agencies.&nbsp;<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The state government also directed that any other Government Department or agency, which may be collecting tax on any items falling under GST regime for immediately stopping of such collections. Further, the state government has appealed to Confederation of Nagaland Chamber of Commerce &amp; Industry to reconsider its call for going for State-wide closure of all the shops and business establishments on 16th of September, and to give support and cooperation to the Government departments for tackling the menace of illegal taxation/extortion and assist in further improving the ease of doing business in the State.</span><br />
